Elimination of intake manifold bearings was accomplished by Orion applying Teflon® non-stick coating on every four and six cylinder shaft produced in the USA by a major Japanese auto, multi brand manufacturer. The evolution of these shafts required initial accuracy of ±5 microns, which the manufacturer reduced to ±3 microns. Orion met both goals and met the continuous improvement mandates of this manufacturer.
