Marine applications such as, corrosion resistant coatings and low-friction coatings on propellershave been sucessfully accomplished at Orion. Thes searches for greater efficiency and anti-following characteristics, propellers have benefited the quest for both when they are coated with the appropriate high-strength PTFE coating.

Orion applies DB L-907 to marine supercharger rotors to increase the air pumping efficiency. DB L-907 can help increase a boost in efficiency by at least 5% on a pair of coated rotors.
