Graymills Corp. is a manufacturer of equipment, pumps and components for the printing industry.
Challenge:
Graymills was experiencing a problem in the field: environmental regulations that required printers to use water-based inks, was causing a corrosion problem on the iron components. This manufacturer came to Orion Industries with their problem and asked if a solution could be developed.
Solution:
Orion found a solution by coating even some of the more difficult interiors of iron pipe and castings. Not only did the non-stick coating help solve the corrosion problem, but it offered an additional property of easy clean-up, allowing for quick change-over of colors. With this added benefit, a new product line was born. The manufacturer was able to save its business for water-based inks and was able to grow its market by offering the new quick clean-up option.
